I felt I needed to have a small security blanket in regards to funds.
With the price of gold rising i felt i needed to get it now while i could still afford it.

Today I decided to buy.
I figured $3000 was a good amount to have for an emergency so after fees I got $2971.30 .
This was 62808.19 baht when converted and the price today for 1 baht of Thai gold was 61800 baht.
Given the low interest rates in Australia i thought it would be good to see a comparison over a month between cash and gold.

However this price is determined by many factors, where as the bank interest is fixed.
