We have been here 5 weeks today.
The time has flown, without out us doing very much.
We have been into surfers Paradise a few times and the way its setup is very impressive.
Once back at the house, the main activity has been bird watching.
I have spent the past 2 weeks watching what i thought were eagles.
Quick look on google revealed they were actually black cockatoos.

Flying back to Melbourne on Friday for a few days at Bills.
Then back to Thailand on Tuesday.

The Bell Rope

Steve and Dad went up to the local pub near were we are and they told steve that the property was once owned by Mel Gibson.
Apparently he bought it to build a house prior to becoming famous from Mad max.
Its called the Eagle heights hotel.
Best parma I have ever had, easily almost an inch thick and cooked to perfection.
Anyway during one of our nights out, Poppy noticed they had a bell with a pretty dismal bell rope.
He offered to make them a new one.
They were pretty happy with his efforts.
